Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays Sketch #20

I had a lot of fun doing this sketch by K. Astacio.  Every year we go to the boardwalk in Ocean City and one of the "must haves" is Fralinger's salt water taffy.  It's so cute they even have a mascot.  Here is the sketch:
Here is my layout.  I used actual salt water taffy wrappers for the flower stems and the embellishments on top of the picture.  The tickets are from the actual ride tickets we purchased:
Other supplies used were:
My Mind's Eye patterned paper
Recollections Boutiqe Fleur Lace Borders
Miscellaneous Ribbon
Sassafras in a stitch blossoms - blue

When I saw this sketch over on Sassy Lil' Sketches, I fell in love!!!!  I knew I had the perfect pictures of my hubby and daughter from the Phillies game we attended and I could use my new Pennant punch that I got from Stampin Up (I just love that thing!).  I'm all about pennants at the present time.  We had really good seats at the game (13th row behind the opposing team's dugout, so I got some good pictures.   Here is the sketch:

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I had the perfect pictures!  I love doing sketchy thursdays challenges, their sketches are always awesome!  Here is the sketch....

And here is my layout.....

Other materials I used were:

BoBunny Barefoot Bliss paper
Bazzill cardstock
Little Yellow Bicycle pennant and border
Fancy Pants Beach Babe wave embellishments
Malibu Beach Muddpuddles

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge

Well I started out yesterday thinking I was making this layout for the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge, Buttons! and Sketchy Thursdays August GDT challenges, until I realized that the August GDT challenge was closed.  So I ended up using the sketchy thursday August GDT sketch for this layout.  I had a lot of fun making the pennants (I am addicted to them) and incorporating the ruled ribbon and cute little buttons.  Even though I missed the sketchy thursdays deadline, I still had a lot of fun creating this.
Here was the sketch I used:

Here is a list of my supplies:
  • Martha Stewart bakers twine
  • Colorbox ink
  • miscellaneous buttons
  • DMC embroidery floss
  • Tim Holtz ruled ribbon (Love Time Holtz!)
  • Boxer Scrapbook letters (pennants)
  • Patterned paper (My Mind's Eye, Stampin Up, American Crafts)

sketchy thursdays 7.21 Sketch Challenge

Wow, talk about trying to get a good picture.. I like to take my shots outside in the natural sunlight, but since the humidity and temperature are so high here, my lens kept fogging up.  Well finally, after about 10 tries I finally got it.  This is a layout I did for the sketchy thursdays challenge.  It is a picture of my daughter in Wildwood while she was vacationing there with some friends.  They all know that I like tons of pictures and they got this shot, which I thought was just absolutely beautiful!  Thanks for looking!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

Products Used:
  • Patterned Paper (My Mind's Eye, Creative Imaginations, Nikki Sivils, The Paper Element)
  • Die-Cut (My Mind's Eye)
  • Ribbon (American Crafts)
